A short novel is presented from the collection which has included editorial, “Spark”, a narrative directed at a young audience. The story of Dora, a girl of eighteen, whose the sudden death of her parents, forced to grow up in haste, goes further. With a traditional speech and third person narrative structure, presentation, quite clear outcome, the novel by Isabel Clara updates some of the basic issues on the realization of the current generation of adolescents, such as the relativity of feelings, social and economic independence of women, the existence of openly gay youth or the onset of sexual intercourse of a girl. This creates a quite attractive to a broad public that likes to read so fast and he wants to think while reading or when this is over. An account, therefore, much more mature than the other great young adult novel by the author, Rachel (1992), which so many generations of teenagers have to read today.
